The grand opening of the high-profile 7th China International Import Expo was held at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center from November 5th to 10th. The CIIE was the world's first large-scale national-level exhibition with import as its theme, consisting of two parts: the exhibition and the forum. The exhibition includes the National Trade and Investment Exhibition (For short National exhibition) and the Business Exhibition for Enterprises (For short Enterprise exhibition)；the forum is the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum.This year's CIIE consisted of the National Exhibition, the Enterprises Exhibition, the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum, professional supporting activities, and human exchange activities, etc.. QYD Group was also invited to exhibit.
This year's CIIE national exhibition brought together 77 countries and international organizations from five continents which showcased their national images, economic development achievements and distinctive and competitive products. A total of 3496 enterprises from 129 countries and regions participated in the Enterprise exhibition, which fully reflected the confidence of global enterprises in China's economic development and the attraction of China's super-large-scale market. The exhibition continued to set up six exhibition zones, including food and agricultural products, automobiles, technological equipment, consumer goods, medical equipment and medical care, and service trade, as well as special zones such as innovation incubation, aiming to provide opportunities for small and micro enterprises around the world to showcase their creativity and promote their products in China.
This CIIE dealt in goods and services, and exchanged in culture and ideas. In order to enrich the connotation of cultural exchange activities between China and foreign countries, the Hongqiao International City Meeting Room Exhibition area was set up.Together with the four exhibition areas of "Chinese time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage, national Pedestrian Street, and Chinese tourism", the Expo fully showcased the cultural and economic characteristics, urban characteristics, local customs of all parts of China.
The 7th CIIE was a major measure taken by China to firmly support trade liberalization and economic globalization and actively open its market to the world, which was conducive to enhancing economic and trade exchanges and cooperation among countries around the world, promoting global trade and world economic growth, and promoting the development of an open world economy.
