The 5th Chaoshan International Textile and Apparel Expo was grandly opened at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center from March 18th to 20th, 2026. As the first major exhibition of the year in China's intimate apparel sector, this expo, themed "Five Continents Converge in the Tide", has stirred up a vigorous spring tide of full-chain collaboration in Shantou's and even China's textile and apparel industry.
The expo covers an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters, with 18 exhibition halls and 19 exhibition areas. Over 1,200 textile and apparel enterprises participated, showcasing over 100 categories of products including yarns, fabrics, and finished garments, as well as 200,000 new items. It attracted buyers from 21 domestic industrial clusters and over 50 countries and regions overseas, including domestic and international purchasers, designers, online and offline buyers, covering all channels such as shelf e-commerce, live-streaming e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce, ready-to-wear brands, private domains/group buying, overseas trade, agency/dealer, physical chains, supermarkets/departments, and well-known IPs.
As the highlight of each expo, the opening show "Tide Rises in the East" was highly anticipated and closely watched. This year's opening show was themed "Five Elements Converge in the Tide", with a layout divided into five chapters: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. Each chapter deeply integrated Shantou's intangible cultural heritage art, allowing traditional culture to shine on the modern catwalk. More remarkably, the opening show introduced robot models for the first time, achieving a co-performance of human and machine to interpret the aesthetics of fashion. The expo also set up an AI and industry innovation service exhibition area for the first time, showcasing the latest achievements in AI design and intelligent manufacturing. The strong collision of technology and fashion vividly interpreted the profound cultural heritage and vigorous innovative power of the Chaoshan textile and apparel industry.

The opening of the 5th Chaoshan Textile and Apparel Expo is not only a grand feast of clothing that links the world and defines the future, but also an opportunity for Shantou's textile and apparel industry to move forward and strive to build a textile and apparel industrial cluster with a value of over 200 billion yuan.
