From May 13 to 15, the 2026 LINK FASHION Garment Exhibition was held in Shanghai. The direction of smart upgrades for underwear factories has become very clear at this year’s exhibition, mainly reflected in three areas:

First, fully automatic pocket-opening machines have become a necessity for cost reduction. Opening a single pocket takes only 20 to 32 seconds, achieving 3 to 5 times the efficiency of manual labor. Each machine can replace 3 to 5 skilled workers, effectively addressing the pain points of recruitment difficulties and low efficiency in the production of underwear and loungewear.

Second, intelligent cutting systems support small-batch, quick-response production. Fully automatic multi-layer cutting systems improve efficiency by over 30% while significantly reducing manual intervention, making them particularly suitable for the flexible production needs of underwear fabrics.

Third, whole-factory collaboration is becoming a trend. The upgrade is moving from individual equipment to fully integrated MES, ERP, and SCM systems, enabling true flexible coordination from order placement to production. It is clear that fully automatic pocket-opening machines, intelligent cutting systems, and production management systems have become the "three major components" of underwear factory upgrades. With the right equipment selection and system integration, cost reduction and efficiency improvement can be effectively achieved.
